As soon as I saw Twiggy Christmas Trees over at Michele Made Me, I knew I had to try them.
I collected some sticks in a local wood last month, and, with some help, cut them all down to length.
Then they sat round our house for a few weeks, waiting for the drill battery charger to be found... Then for the drill to charge... Then for me to try and drill only to find I didn't have the strength... Then for someone else to come along who could do it for me!
The two larger ones are drilled throughout and threaded together with green metallic thread.
When we attempted to drill the pieces of wood for the two smaller trees they splintered, so I decided to get my glue gun out - it's not quite as pretty, but it works!
I haven't been well enough to access my paints lately, so I decided to simply decorate using a gold marker and tip-exx (whiter outer fluid)! I decorated one small tree and one large tree.
The small trees are now hanging on our Christmas tree, and the big ones round our house :) It wasn't the easiest of crafts, but I LOVE the results!!
Why not have a look at the other crafts in my Christmas category...
Those trees look great!
