OK, so these aren't going on our Christmas tree... But my husband received his play code for the pre-release of the new MMORPG Star Wars the Old Republic last night, so it felt fitting to share these! (Yes, I married a gamer who is also Star Wars crazy...)

Wow Helen - how fab! I think I'll have to re-create some of these for our friends - Thanks for the inspiring design links. I've seen the films but get a little confused...(I'm fine with Harry Potter though!!)

Thanks! :) I've seen 2 of the films now, but 1 was a long time ago and I don't really remember it haha. I hope you get on well. The second link of designs suggests a different folding method to the first link, and although I haven't tried it I think it would work better :)

We made some and our friends were well impressed!! As real officianados they recognised the design in the middle too! The cutting was really tricky though - I only did the templates that had easy lines - so I really appreciate how much work went into your photos!!
