The baby madness continues!

Pattern: Pan Pan Crafts (though the site now seems unavailable, very disappointing!)

Spines: made up as I went along!

Yarn: leftover Stylecraft Special DK

Buttons: from my stash.

Booties pattern: Hopeful Honey (though without the spike stitch)

Star Wars: Jawa

Well would you believe it. More Star Wars crochet!

When I heard that Lucy Ravenscar had released a Jawa pattern as part of her crochet Star Wars series, I bought it almost immediately...

Then proceeded to do other projects.

Until last night, when I picked up my crochet hook intending to "just start it of"...

Within a matter of hours, not only was he finished but he was wrapped and given to my husband... An early Christmas present?!

A brilliant night's work, and my husband is thrilled with him too :) So cute!

The only differences I made to the pattern were...

1. I added an extra row to the hood, probably because my guage or wool thickness was slightly off!

2. I chained 30 for the shoulder strap, again probably because of my guage.

3. I used bright yellow buttons for the eyes! I have a huge button collection, and these beauties came from Singapore :)

Definitely another of my favourites, so cute! Would definitely put more detail into his hood now I've seen the film though ;) I may update him...

I love his weapon... Can you work out how I made it?

Thin wooden skewer, with the tip from a scratching tool glued on, and wrapped with string. I think it's quite effective :) And again, thanks to crochet, it can be inserted and removed from his paw :)
