Hedgehog Pumpkin!

When my husband came home with a pumpkin, I knew straight away I was going to do a street of topsy turvy houses. That was until my husband cleaned out the innards for me, and I became completely indecisive! Eventually, I settled on a cute little seasonal hedgehog - scarily cute, right?!

Spiky Hedgehog Card

I was thinking the other day about different animals I could turn into card designs, having created an octopus, a dinosaur, and most recently a sheep. Given the time of year and the fact that I've been following some Hedgehog Sanctuaries on Facebook, my mind slipped to hedgehogs! They are such cute creatures who can be simplified into a few shapes - perfect for a card. This hedgehog features two layers of spikes - the back being slightly sparkly, and she has a bow in her hair spines, because even hedgehogs need to accessorise!

"Gorjuss" Nature Stamped Cards

As I mentioned in my recent Gorjuss stamped cards post, the set of stamps I received came with some cute nature themed stamps, including a hedgehog, a mushroom and a fox.

These stamps are pretty small, but they come together nicely to make a card. I stamped them on watercolour paper for more texture, before layering them. I added some bronze colour to the mushroom with a gel pen, and added some more mini gems which I also mentioned in the last post - they really are tiny! I love that I've been able to create a more masculine (and autumnal!) card from a very girly stamp set :)
